Won a Bronze Medal at the 2008 Hunter Valley Wine Show.
This wine is made from 100% Verdelho grapes grown in fertile alluvial soils beside the Wollombi Brook on land originally owned by the Blaxland family. John Blaxland, a pioneer of early settlement in New South Wales, was granted land that was to become the Broke Fordwich region.
Abundant in tropical fruit flavours, Verdelho was originally used in Portugal to make Madeira. Our Verdelho is pale lemon in colour, with spice aromas and a hint of green herbs and nettle. The palate is rich and fleshy with a crisp finish.
As an aperitif with tasty cheese, olives, gherkins and biscuits. Trout, salmon and Asian-style cuisine. Great with spicy foods.
